Please join us in welcoming Gina Possanza, our new Archives Assistant! Now that Gina has come on board, she will be resuming the digitization program started in the Archives Department. With previous employees and volunteers, we’ve scanned approximately 70% of the SAR Institutional Collection – but as Gina works to finish up this part of the collection, we have new collections coming in to keep her busy. Plus, she will also be expanding our program by including our 18th century and original family collections in her workflow. Gina joins us from Indiana, where she just finished digitizing a collection of George Rogers Clark Land Records held by the Floyd County Recorder’s Office. In fact, she loved this project so much that she’s become a huge fan of General Clark. Be sure to ask her about him the next time you visit the library!
