Welcome Walker Byer to the Library!

The SAR Genealogical Research Library is proud to welcome a new full time staff member, Walker Byer, to our team! Walker comes to us from working at the University of Louisville where he spent much of his time researching biographies. Walker earned his Master’s Degree in Library Science from Indiana University Bloomington with a specialization in Archives and Records Management. Since graduation, Walker has worked in a few archival departments at IU, thereby building his wonderful portfolio of library reference and archival experience.

As the new Library Technician, Walker will be instrumental in helping patrons at the reference desk, assisting with cataloging, collections maintenance, and programming. Even in the few short weeks since his arrival, Walker has proven invaluable in adding to the success of our library projects! The next time you visit the library, please welcome Walker to the SAR!
